The Van Gils Company was founded by H.C. van Gils in 1945at the end of the second world war. Thanks to the major role he played in the Dutch resistance movement, Van Gils was the first to be given Tailor’s vouchers, which allowed him to buy materials. Van Gils along with other tailors, compassionately set out to use these materials to make clothing for the victims of the bombings that had taken place in their village. Van Gils is world reknown for its bespoke craftsmanship. The brand combines humor and style while still maintaining its innovation, high quality details, and utmost confidence.
